Laurent Miquel - Albarino Lagrasse '2020 (Languedoc, FRA)
This is the wine that probably should never have happened. The story starts in Galicia, Spain, where Laurent happened to find himself on holidays. But true to form Laurent couldn’t sit still and one day went to explore the local vineyards and the grapes they used. That’s where he found the Albarino grape. Taken aback by its delicate and fresh nature, Laurent decided he would grow it in the Lanquedoc. The fact it hadn’t been done before didn’t seem to bother him. Nor the fact that everyone thought he was slightly mad. So the wine that shouldn’t have happened did, and everyone that has tasted it since is happy it did. It’s unique, that’s for sure. An elegant cuvée that has hints of white peaches and a lovely touch of citrus. It’s one of those ones you just have to taste, and then you’ll realise why it’s hard to explain. ABV 13%
$14.39- 750ml ($15.99 Regular Price)
Le Morette - Chiaretto '2020 (Veneto, ITA)
Light-bright rose in colour with a fragrant, fresh and fruity flavour. Its taste is delicate, with a pronounced fruited flavour, and endowed with great freshness. Its end is dry and of good persistence and these characters confirm the personality of Bardolino Chiaretto. It is a wine for many combinations, from hors-d’oeuvres, first courses, white fine meats. Corvina 55%, Rondinella 35% and Molinara 10%. The grapes are picked in the ancient production area of Bardolino hence the label caption “Classico”. ABV 12%
$17.09 - 750ml ($18.99 Regular Price)
Vino Budimir - Pro Cou Patz' '2018 (Serbia)
Prokupac is an indigenous grape, noted for fruit-forward, richer personality. Aromas of dark berries and earth yield to plump, pliable fruit. Serve with a slight chill. Starts with a deep purple color and a floral, nose. On the palate cherries, and red currants. Medium body. Finishes with herbs and leather. Super delicious lighter bodied red. Lots of roasted red pepper and cocoa. Notes of purple flowers and wood. Short, dry finish. ABV 13.5%
$15.29 - 750ml ($16.99 Regular Price)
