If you’re not familiar with our DBW Neighborhood Drop dinner events, we coordinate with some truly wonderful D.C. area restaurants to create a special dinner menu that is pre-ordered from the restaurant website to be picked up at DBW. We provide a few different wine pairings (10% off discount) for each drop that can be reserved below, but purchased when you come in to pickup your dinner. All food sales go to the restaurant, we just handle the booze.

This time we have a couple wines from Palestine available, as well as a few different Non-Alcoholic beverages available. If you need help deciding what to pair with dinner, we have good news, during the dinner pickup we will be sampling most of the wine and N/A beverages to help you choose!

...Starting with our concepts staple - chicken inspired by musakhan, the national dish of Palestine, and the world famous rotisserie chickens that are served in the West Bank. Our Shababi chicken is brined for 24 hours before being coated with our blended mix of allspice, sumac, cumin, fenugreek, and cardamom. Each chicken is slow cooked to perfection and served with our Shabibi taboon.

Bodegas Zudugarai - Antxiola, Txakoli '2021 (Getariako Txakolina, ESP)
The '2021 Txakoli from Malda is comprised entirely from the Hondarribi Zuri grape. Brilliant straw yellow colored, with green shimmer. Apple based aroma, that offers white flowers and sweet citrus. Fresh red fruit mouthfeel with a balanced citrus finish. White fruit retronasal persistence with the Antxiola’s citrus particular hit. Fresh, with salty sea aromas. Intense and full of energy, clean bright coloured, with lime green tones. Fresh and balanced entrance. Light and smooth. Prepared with the grapes coming from Landarbide Vineyard located inside Pagoeta Natural Park, famous for its huge beech forests and oaks. ABV 11%

Domaine Alphonse Dolly - Pinot Noir '2021 (Loire Valley, FRA)
Produced from burgundian clonal varieties but with a definite loire valley 'twist', the dolly pinot noir is totally delicious with character, distinction and soul. All stainless steel, it has elegant, crisp and refined pinot noir flavors of cassis and violet, with delightful spice and excellent, tight texture. with a slight chill, the cherry comes out. This could be your go-to summer red. This family owned estate in the Loire riverside village of Thauvenay in the Sancerre appellation has been producing exceptionally bright, fresh clean Sauvignon Blancs and Pinot Noirs for several generations. Old sea bottom vineyards with clay-limestone soils, some combined with flint outcroppings, provide perfectly balanced fruit for the Sancerre, Pouilly Fume, and Menetou-Salon appellations. ABV 13%

"I Am The Fabulous Mr. Pink" Sparkling Rosé opens with aromas of bright strawberry, brioche and subtle notes of crushed rose petal. The palate displays more fresh berry, ripe citrus with pleaseing creaminess and lush fruit texture. The wine's superb aciditiy counters the palate's fruitiness and mingles with the bubbles for a long, dry finish. ABV 12.5%

Cremisan - Star of Bethlehem, Baladi Red '2018 (West Bank, Palestine)
Baladi which means "my country or Native". Stewed raspberry, with plum, cranberry and hints of forest floor on the nose. Concentrated and complex, yet medium bodied and smooth. Plum continues on the palate, revealing blackberry, strawberry, and red apple skin. Finishes long, dry and elegant. Produced from pure Baladi using traditional fermentation. The destemmed grapes are fermented using selected yeasts at a controlled temperature thus obtaining a Wine with good color and aroma. ABV 13%

Cremisan - Star of Bethlehem, Dabouki White '2020 (West Bank, Palistine)
Dabouki grapes which in Arabic means "sweetness" are characterized by Green-Yellow fruits and well developed seeds. An intense aroma of grapefruit, lemon, and apricot, with subtle hints of tropical fruit and wet stone on the nose. Ripe green apple, apricot, pear, and green herbs on the palate, fading into lime skin and anise. Medium in body, finishing round and clean. Produced from pure Dabouki grapes, using traditional fermentation. After the destemming and the soft pressing of the grapes, the clean juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks using selected yeasts at controlled temperature thus obtaining a wine with good flavor and aroma ABV 11.5%

Lautus - Savvy Red Wine 'NV (ZAF)
Grapes for our red blend, Lautus Savvy Red, is sourced from our winemaker's family farm in Vredendal - a town in the northern Olifants River Valley in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Great care was taken whilst removing the alcohol from this rich supple red blend. We make this blend by using grapes in the order that Reg planted the hectares on their farm - Shiraz/Pinotage/Tempranillo/Cabernet Sauvignon.This blend showcases pure red and black berry fruit flavours, with a touch of oak. The elegant palate is underpinned by fine tannin and juicy yet subtle fruit. To be enjoyed in its purest and natural form, without the restrictions of alcohol. ABV 0.5%
